Continuously contribute to the Global Basic Observing Network (GBON) by :

  • Sharing the synoptic and upper air data from Indonesia to WMO Members and Communities

  • Being part as the Systematic Observations Financing Facility (SOFF) Peer Advisors for the GBON Implementation in Member developing countries

  • Operating the Regional WIGOS Center in RA V together with Fiji and Singapore

Continuously contribute to the capacity development of the human resources of WMO Members, through the provision of education and training, as well as technical expertise.

Continuously contribute its role in the following WMO Operational Center:

  • Regional Training Center in Indonesia (Ina-RTC)

  • Tropical Cyclone Warning Center (TCWC)

  • Southeastern Asia-Oceania Flash Flood Guidance (SAOFFG) System Center

  • Global Atmosphere Watch Kototabang (and another Atmospheric Watch Stations in Palu & Sorong)

  • Data Collection or Production Centers for Haze, Tsunami Early Warning, Numerical Weather Prediction, and Tropical Cyclone Warning

  • South East Asia Regional Climate Center

  • Regional WIGOS Center in Regional Association V

  • Regional Climate Center in Regional Association V

  • Southeast Asian Climate Assessment & Dataset (SACA&D)

  • WMO Global Multi-hazard Alert System (GMAS) which covers the South Asia Asia region

Continuously operate the Ocean Forecast System (developed from the WMO Coastal Inundation Forecast Demonstration Program for Indonesia) which covers the South Asia Asia region.

Continuously provide the Indonesia weather forecast product up to regency (kabupaten) level in WMO Website. For Common Alert Protocol (CAP) : https://severeweather.wmo.int/v2/

Implementation of Integrated Global Greenhouse Gas Information System (IG3IS).

Continuously contribute to the Cataloguing of Extreme Events.
